Siv's back on the mic! Behind the writing desk! Whatever. I'm just watching "Louie" and I like it a lot. It's the new Seinfeld, which I'm sure has been said about it before. But I think the most interesting part is what it says about our times that this is the humor that we find most relatable and this is the show that kind of comedian creates. In clear contrast to what Seinfeld was, which despite being "about nothing" was still about a lot more from episode to episode. A lot more was consistent. A "Louie" episode is like it's own self-contained short film. Some of them are really funny and some are really artsy. I experience rapid mood swings throughout some. But they tend to end on a sweet note and I thoroughly enjoy them. Go watch it if you haven't.

Board games are a dangerous pastime. You need friends to play board games with. But playing board games destroys friendships. And if you have no friends to play board games with, you have to make new friends, possibly by offering to play board games with them. It is a vicious cycle of addiction.

Mike is scary. It is hard to be rational in the face of fear. It is not very conducive to agency and well-informed decision making. Being afraid of fear is even worse, since then you lose control over your ability to control your loss of control.

I'd better stop talking before things get too circular around here.

The thumbnail of this strip is deep as hell.

You know the Eastern saying, "don't teach a pig to sing - you are wasting your time, and it annoys the pig"?

Thanks! Didn't know that saying but it ties in well!
