About the first panel: it's fun to draw parallels between characters. Have you noticed any group of four people can be categorized by personality into the four humors? Or, more simply, the four ninja turtles. For instance: Siv's the intellectual, I'm the loner, Mal's the fun one, and Mike's the natural-born leader.

Now for some actual thematic discussion. (Although if that's what you're here for, you should probably just read Siv's comment instead. Or you could do both) I love Frogger. My favorite Frogger game is Frogger's Journey for the GBA. Although I confess I'm really no good at it. The only way I beat it was through sheer endurance. My reflexes are weak and I lack the ability to apply game strategy in real time. In short, Siv usually wins when we play one another. Except for in Smash Bros. where I use the BUTTON MASH FRENZY technique and never shield. I can't wait for the new one, I'm gonna get it on Wii U and 3DS.

If you wanna apply some philosophy to this, here's mine: games give you what you put in. It's not going to do you any good to expect others to conform to your playstyle. Some people play for fun and some to win (because winning is fun!)

Sorry for the late comment. Things got busy.

Video games are pretty hard. You can spend a lot of time learning one video game, but when you pick up another one not all of your skills transfer. Video games are an interesting exercise about how people learn. There is an extensive amount of metacognition that takes place, which can really be extended to any other activity or concept. The traits that make you a good gamer make you a good learner.

I can't play platformers. I'm pretty trash at those, Gib far exceeds my abilities in Super Mario Bros. We'll call it even.

Some play for fun, and others to win. But maybe, we all play to learn.

See you soon.
